Hello all,
Just looking for some advice and guidance really. I've been doing martial arts for a fair few years, and really enjoy cross training. My main styles are kickboxing and ju jitsu since I find they counter balance each other nicely.
I've dabbled in a few other things, namely Wu Shu Kwan (chinese kickboxing), Silat and Shotokan Karate - but didn't find they were my thing (I'm not disrespecting them - they just were not me).
Anyway, I'd to dabble a bit more but am unsure which way to go. I've looked into Ninjitsu but am put off by all the arguments and politics about who belongs to which organisation and who is "the real thing". Same with Tae Kwon Do.
I've thought about Aikedo, but can't find a school with good references. I'm interested in Vale Tude and Shootfighting, but can't locate anywhere.
I live in London UK, and feel that my knowledge is limited to just a few styles. I don't believe in the "ultimate style", and so always like to dabble. I'm pretty keen on CV work, and enjoy mixing punches and kicks with ground work, throws and locks.
Does anyone have any recommendations of schools that I might go along to and have a watch within the the Greater London Area?
Cheers
Darren
