I started listening to Bad religion yesterday. I got my hands on 2 albums now and it's very awesome stuff.
"Infected" for example, is an incredible song. I haven't yet found a song of theirs I don't like- some of the ones on new america are a bit dodgy, but still listenable-to.

"21st Century Digital Boy" is my favourite :D

... closely followed by "Superman"

IMHO suffer was their best album.

as time has gone on i think they have kind of lost the plot a little.

but their old albums are really amazing.

Try to stick to their old stuff as their new album is very pop-sounding. 21st Century Digital Boy, Generator, Atomic Garden...too many great songs to name.

I'm partial to a bit of Bad Religion. I really like 21st Digital boy and their Recipe for Hate album, especially American Jesus

HUUHBUUUH THEIR OLD STUFF WAS AWESOME, TOTAL PUNK RAWWKK SNOBBERY IN REGARDS TO THE NEW STUFF, HOWEVER

How exactly is "supersonic", "materialist", "sinister rouge", etc. a betrayal of the "old" bad religion/a "sellout"?

I can only assume you're talking to me.

I never said they sold out, merely that the newer stuff sounds more like the pop/punk you'd hear on the radio from the Good Charlottes and Blink 182s of the world. Can you honestly say that a song like "Los Angeles Is Burning" sounds anything like the old school Bad Religion?

I'd have to go with "American Jesus" also. Man, I think those guys are getting kinda up in their years...of course, I suppose they could end up being like the Rolling Stones and rockin till they're all in their 90s.

Bad Religion is one of my Favorite bands. "bored and extremely dangerous", "superman", and "Kyoto now!" are 3 good songs. I also listen to alot of Pennywise.

I'd have to go with those two aswell. Haven't heard any of their new stuff though but it looks like I'm not missing much. Haven't heard 21st centry digital boy for ages...
Might have to go raid my bro's CD collection...
