Can't say I have...
I have been at a course where he was teaching a couple of new entries into armlocks though, and they were great fun to play with! Just don't expect this book to suddenly make you a master of armlocks too and it should be a good read ;)

Is it the one in the Judo Maserclass series?
If so, I thought it was very good.

yup, all the masterclass books are good for a read.
The russian Judo one was especially interesting as was the one on pick-ups.

Yeah ive got the Neil Adams book. The main armlock it focuses on is Juji Gatame which is the most effective in my opinion. Also show turnovers into armlocs etc. and some extra pointers such as pressure locks on the arm if your opponent manages to grab there gi and lots of other pointers. After studying this book juji gatame has became my favourite newaza technique once you start drilling it and get a hold of your oponents arm its very hard for them to do concetrate on anything else other than defending the lock as you can do this armlock from any angle. It covers a few other armlocks too. Incidently has anyone ever submitted anyone with Ude garame as i never have despite being in what i though perfect situation to do it also people have tried it on me and it just dosent seem to be effective.

Once, and once only in competition, quite a few times in training, its best from being trapped between your opponents legs, but you have to be quick!
It is a good book, a very interesting read, and you can't deny the guy knows his stuff!

Any of the masterclass series are worth your time, armlocks is no exception. :) Yes Adams knows his stuff, lol he was a domiant figure in judo for quite a while.
As to the Ude, yes I use that lock a lot.

people use ude garami quite frequently in bjj. the problem often encountered with ude garami is trying to apply the lock from a poor positon. for example having the wrist of the arm being attacked at the temple rather than applying the technique with the wrist past the shoulder or lower.

As said the Russian judo book is also good, has escapes from armlocks, etc etc.
