Heres an interesting incident I saw last week.

While working near Birmingham New Street I saw a thief grab a womans purse. Her rather large male companion gave chase, after almost cornering the thief, the guy tries to box the thief, the guy is way bigger and out guns the thief. No problem for the thief, he calmly steps back out of reach and lands a well executed front kick to the guys ribs, which totally takes the wind out of his sails. The thief then hightails it as the police come onto the scene.

The thiefs motives were dodgy but his technique was flawless!

It sounds rough... I remember in the town centre when I was young, some guy grabbed loads of coats from all sports, and some guy was trying to stop him. The guy did get away. I wouldnt risk it, he could of had a knife, just for the sake of being a hero.

Hey guys
I was in Birmingham last year for the SENI show. I had a great time and really liked it there.

As is Our custom, Alan Goldberg of Action MArtial Arts Magazine and I stayed in town and found or way on public transportation ( buses & rail) to and from London & the show.

Friday/Saturday Night in Birmingham was "quite" lively, and there was a national Holiday of sorts that had everyone singing in the Pubs (forgot the name)

BIrmingham as okay by me!
