the most funniest author ever, who wrote the hitchikers guide to the galaxy, restraunt at the end of the unvierse, life the universe and everything, and mostly harmless. i'm only reading hitchikers, but it is the funniest damn book in the entire world. get any of the books right now, why are you still reading this, buy it.

Indeed, they are all great.

And don't forget the Dirk Gently books either, classics both.

The Salmon of Doubt isn't bad, but its not really designed as a book to itself, its a collection of his published and unpublished writings, and the first few chapters of the book he was writing when he passed away.

How good do you think the movie will be?

I think they are in for a rough time with how popular the books are.

Loved the first three...thought "So long and thanks for all the fish" was a bit poor really.

As good as Douglas Adams is (was), I feel Pratchett is the finest literary joker out there (except "Monstrous Regiment" which was crap)

Can't wait for the film though

whats the last book
Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy
The Restraunt at the end of the universe
???

Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy
The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe
Life, The Universe And Everything
So Long and Thanks For All The Fish
Mostly Harmless

In the Dirk Gently series:
Dirk Gentlys Holistic Detective Agency
The Long Dark Teatime Of The Soul

Others:
The Salmon Of Doubt (unfinished)
The Meaning Of Liff
The Deeper Meaning Of Liff
Last Chance To See

Also, the radio series are well worth getting. The Secondary Phase is totally unrelated to any of the books.
