I was watching some old Ali footage and how did the man manage it. We all know Ali would float like a butterfly and sting like a bee, but God could the man take punches especially to the body. How did he take those blows without getting cracked ribs. Is it because he drank a lot of milk? Explain.

When I used to do boxing, I read up a bit on Ali. Alot of body conditioning. He'd do entire sparring sessions without throwing a punch. He'd just let the opponent hit him.

Yeah...thats it. He drank a lot of milk.
After the Foreman fight (the rumble in the jungle) he was pissing blood for a week as he had taken so much damage.

lol may I ask what gives you the idea that he drank milk? Too give him ultra strong bones!? :D
Ali is a legend, and his fights are still classics. I love watching them. There's no denying that he had a cast iron will. People would put him down on occasion, and he just got back up.
As for the ability to take the kinda punishment he did; i've no idea what kind of training schedule he had, but i'm sure he was born with jaw made out of titanium! :)

Oh yeah , he took all those punches to no consequence... now look at him today.
Anyway as Yuki said, Ali is a legend, and always will be, because he just happened to be able to take punches that most people couldn't.
If there was a method of training that could make you as tough as Ali everyone would be doing it. Ali was extremely talanted, but even though he didn't pay for all those blows he took in the ring immediatly too often, he's definitely paying now.

While I'm sure Ali has many ill effects from boxing, I doubt Parkinson's Disease is one of them. Or else I must have missed Michael J. Fox's side career in the ring.
