Slique, I'm surprised that you haven't located a Bujinkan dojo that was close by for you to train at since you don't have an actual instructor near you. I actually started out on the Tew Ryu HSP program and made it to the second tape ready to test on the third. I'm glad that I switched when I did. Looking back, the best thing I learned from Rick Tew was my acrobatic techniques like diving rolls and such. If I see videos of their fighting techniques, I can pick out so many openings. Still, it isn't a bad system at all. I would just recommend trying to get out to the actual source since not even a training partner can help you get the correct feel for a technique. Good luck.

Out of curiosity, I did an online search and couldn’t find any bujinkan dojo in Delaware. If that’s the style of MA you want, might have to go out of state or do some sleuthing around instate to find a DE dojo.
Re: Rick Tew’s videos – I’m sure they are entertaining and from what little I’ve seen of the style, some of it may be effective, but none of it is real ninjutsu. If you can afford the tapes, why not check it out. Don’t rely on it as sole training material, but it (along with other sources to keep well-informed) should hold you over for now.
Master Van Donk (www.ninjutsu.com) has a pretty good set of tapes, as does Jack Hoban, and any of Hatsumi-sensei’ material is worthwhile to look at.
Some of the gembukan folks here could probably recommend reading / viewing material about their style as well.
If you can afford to get your hands on some research material, go for it, but make sure to save some $$$ for actual dojo training or at least a couple seminars too.

I'm interested in trying ninjistu, it's always been a dream of mine to train in that art, but I've never had the chance. I take Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido at Yoons Martail Arts. Email me at Sevrado@aol.com or reply some way.

Actually, X, I don't know if you noticed his post before I edited, but I was referring to the threat he made. I know what you were saying in your previous post, but I think he took it wrong or misread it.

Your very disrespectful, your no real martial artist if you go around talking crap about people you dont know, i would like an apology. Considering no one got the joke, I will explain. The comment was direct to mcdojos in general, I been in a similiar situation where people would want to train with me becuase I would go for the knees or someone else they considered not allowed. Washin Ryu KaraTe coems to mind, but that another story.
But oh well.....
people got it relax, and btw if you even read the post you would know the joke what about mcdojos and not you. I apologize for you not reading the post.

lol, is pretty obious X was joking.
You would think people who call themselves martial artist would have more self control.
Whats with the people issueing threats, and demanding apologies over an obious joke?
