I train in Jujutsu and Ninjutsu, I find my fitness lets me down in Jujutsu.
I was surfing and I came accross this
Geoff Thompson - Books
Weight Training for the Martial Arts
Can anyone here recomend any literature for martial arts fitness conditioning etc.

Two books I like very much are:
- ultimate guide to warrior fitness
- the boxer's guide to performance
you can find the last one at www.rossboxing.com , here you also find the link to warrior fitness. They cost $30.-- each but I can assure you they are worth every cent you pay for it. warrior fitness is about body weight exercises and the boxing book is about training. I am not a boxer myself but you certainly can use it as it is not a book about boxing techniques but about training, like conditioning, medicine balls, running, swiss ball, weight training. It just covers everything.
Both books are full of information and no useless blabla. They are containing numerous routines. (if you think bodyweight routines are for sissies then try some of the warrior guide routines, if you want to toughen them up even more then use lifeline's power pushup to kill yourself even more). I know $30.-- is more then you see often for a book price but like I said it is worth it. They are not infomercials gimmicks, it is all about hard training as this is the only way to get result but I think you are about training. So get these two.
Another nice one is: singles and doubles by matt wiggins (www.wrestlingconditioning.com) and and Bud Jeffries' twisted conditioning. (although lately there seems to be troubles when ordering from him as I read in other posts).
Hope this helps, I would say go for Ross's books. You won't regret.

i found a good manual at http://ki-central.hypermart.net in the download section. it's called buji ken ki manual
Mas Oyama's Essential Karate. If you're into kyokushinkai, its THE book to have, but its got good sections on body conditioning too. Borrow a copy if you can, its hard to buy nowadays.
