For those of you who didn't catch it last night, here comes the rundown.
Hermes Franca defeats Rich Crunkilton via decision
Both fighters showed a lot of heart, which did not make up for their collective lack of cardio. Crunkilton was caught in a deep kimura late in the fight, yet escaped at the cost of his shoulder.
Duane BANG! Ludwig defeats Genki Sudo via decision
Best fight of the night, hands down. It could really have gone either way, I would have been happy with a draw. Sudo is easily the most entertaining fighter out there.
Wes "Cabbage" Correira defeats Sean Alvarez via TKO
Cabbage showed great takedown defense and superior striking against an outweighed and one dimensional Alvarez.
Rich Franklin defeats Evan Tanner via TKO
This fight seemed to be stopped a little early, but had it gone longer, the result would have been the same.
Pete Spratt defeats Robbie Lawler via verbal tapout
Lawler was taking a lot of punishment to the legs, and called it quits when his hip popped out.
Matt Hughes defeats Sean Sherk via decision
Hughes showed why he is pound for pound the best fighter on Earth by defeating a game Sherk, whose style makes you think Hughes has a clone.
Yep, I thought it was a good UFC. The best fights were the first one involving Sudo (I thought he would win since the other dude was a kickboxer), Cabbage (awesome sprawl he's got! and I agree his opponent was very one dimensional), Spratt (damn, those leg kicks were brutal, dislocated Lawler's hip I believe).
UFC 43 looks like an awesome card!

Matt Huges is 0-2 against Dennis Halman
He lossed by Submisson both Times The First Time By Choke
the 2nd By Armlock.
I Think Matt is a Realy good Fighter.
But he Should give Dennis his well deserved shot at the Title.

Dennis blew his shot in the UFC after UFC 33. Pulver/Hallman was/is the most boring fight in UFC history, and that includes Gracie/Shamrock 2 AND Shamrock/Severn 2.
They don't want Hallman back.
BTW, Hallman beat Hughes with an armbar both times.

True, but that bad night just happened to be the night UFC first made it to Vegas. The big PPV return, and a lot went wrong with that card, and much of it was attributed to Hallman's stalling performance. For most of the PPV audience, the live feed cut out ten minutes into the Ortiz/Matyushenko fight. That card is the reason UFC won't hold two title defenses on the same card.
