Hi MAPers
Got this from elsewhere - I liked it so I thought i'd share :D
==================
I believe Jesus rose from the grave a little less than 2,000 years ago. You may not. (*Yoda-note: No, I don't)
Some would say there are many resurrection myths throughout our human history, and they would be correct. The question I would ask is why? Why is the story of a resurection so important?
The idea of the resurection, whether myth or history is important to the human heart. And I believe this is why:
The resurection is a story of triumph over adversity, the greatest adversity. It is the rising above circumstance, violence, nature, whatever seeks to hold us down, and make us inconsequential.
So if you are a Christian brother or sister, or one of those that do not believe, may I wish you a wonderful day. May the spirit of triumph, and victory fill your life. May you rise above your circumstance, your problems, your habits, your pain, your history, the expectations of yourself and those around you. May you rise above all that seeks to hold you down, and thus, though not believing, still living in the resurection.
