Kinjiro Tsukasa

The third category for the 2004 MAP Awards is “Most Helpful Member”. Has anyone here been of real assistance to you, in your martial arts journey, or otherwise? This is your chance to say "thank you" by nominating that person as "Most Helpful Member".
Post your nominations here. Remember, you can't nominate administrators or global moderators for this award, but topic moderators and other MAPers are fair game. Please only nominate MAPers who are current members with active accounts!
As before, one week to nominate, and one week to vote. This week, you can vote for "Most Informative Thread", here: http://www.martialartsplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?p=353701#post353701

Thanks guys!

So many helpful people - I do seriously mean that... (unfortunately some are excluded by the rules of this game :( - but thank you anyway)
For her ability to stand back and look at the bigger picture (ref: journal posting on the differences/similarities between MA classes) - Mrs Out. Helpful can mean so many different things, and her big heart can be more use than 100 years of MA knowledge.
and secondly - when I see Thomas wade into a discussion I stop and read. His posts seem to work on the basis or 'fairly rare' but 'very significant'. *bow*
a quick check on eligibility, and if he is then I call on Gaskell - not because he is local, but due to his broad knowledge and good nature in helping anyone he can. (and still so young :))

I second Thomas and the nomination of Kwan Jang.
Also
Pat the Cat OMalley
ap Oweyn
and SoKKolab
All are extremely knowledgable about their areas! And always willing to share!

There have been so many people who are helpful but my vote has to go to Gaskell. He always is quick with a reply to any question and does his utmost to answer it fully, promptly and without making you feel like a total moron.
Thanks Gaskell! :)

haha, personality! :D
I nominate Yukimushu for almost single-handedly posting all the best videos on the MMA forum and answering every thread! I would also like to nominate BeWaterMyFriend for being a fellow fitness nerd who has helped me out a lot since I started here.

Oh yeah, Yukimushu, MMA forum-king. Seconded. :D

Wait, KE, you have personality? Gee, you always seemed so humdrum and bland. :D
Thanks for the nod McG. I see it appropriate to second the nomination of Adam McGuigan (that may be the first time I've ever spelled out your whole name :D ), for stepping up to the plate recently with the topic mod position and even before that being quick-witted, quick-to-type, and quick-to-enlighten (and quick to tell more people to squat :D :bang: ).
I know there are so many helpful MAP members, but I'm only familiar with my little "part of the MAP world" in the Health & Fitness section. If KickChick's eligible, she definitely deserves it as well. And if she wins, she will again (and still) be the undisputed Queen of MAP.

Remember! Globies and Admins cant be nominated!
Just to give the rest of us a chance ;)

Thanks to those members who've mentioned me. :)
But as you know Admin. & GM's are not eligible for awards this year :( ...
and so I'll have to relinquish my trophy to another helpful MAP member... :)
... surely does not mean that I won't continue to help when I can! :D

Well, it came down to a CD-flip (I didn't have a coin handy), so Mrs. Owt gets my vote!

Well thanks :o . I have actually considered myself more of a receiver of help than a giver - but I appreciate the thought! :)

Have you ever gone in the MMA forum and noticed that your name is ALWAYS the last post on at least 5 threads at any one time?!? That's one reason why I nominated you. You're one of the few who really keeps the MMA forum going. You keep the good new topics and videos flowing and contribute to the discussion on most threads. Nice one :D
In fact, I nominate 1ONEfighting for the aforementioned reasons. I also want to nominate KE for his efforts in the constant battle with flami... I mean helping trolls/noobs etc. on the H+F forum :D  :D

Yeah, I'm gonna nominate Adam McG too, for the reason that he's corrected me on several occasions and provides useful information.
BeWaterMyFriend deserves a mention- whatever it is, he always seems to know the answer...

If I had my way I'd like to nominate Kinjiro Tsukasa for always having something to say to me whether on here or MAP. Much appreciated.
However, as I cannot I'd like to nominate Wizzy for all his computer-related help on here, easy-tek and via MSN. Thanks man. But I still reckon LOTRs needs taun-tauns and CGI dewback lizards :p
Also a nomination for Mrs Owt for all the cookies

I'm going to nominate AikiMac, for keeping me on my toes in all of our discussions while maintaining fair and well informed arguments. Also, Kurohana, for his guidance and knowledge of many things, not just limited to Ninjutsu. I'm also nominating Kwajman, for keeping conversations/debates interesting, while also keeping fair and well informed. It's people like this that differentiate MAP from any other forum on the internet. I don't spend a lot of time online, but when I do, I invest wisely. On that note, I'd like to thank Yoda. While I can't nominate him, I want to recognize his hard work and dedication to keeping this forum running so smooth. Thanks bud.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.
Isn't it a great thing to see a site that wants to help people learn about other arts attracting such a wide group of people who are looked at as being helpful. It really says a lot for the site that it isn't just one or two people being nominated and most likely the nominators (like myself - who finds himself nodding as each new nominee comes up) left people off the list just to keep it short.
Thank you MAP and the people who make it work!

I'm going with my MMA buddy Yukimushu. He's usually first with the info and always first with the fights that count :D
Other mentions are Adam McGuigan for all the great advice he gives on the health & fitness forum - he's helped me out lots, both directly and indirectly; Thomas for his very well thought out and expressed posts, and computer boys Gaskell and JohnnyX for their assistance on things beyond us mere mortals.

Awww thx Sever :o
I have to go with everyone on the Thomas vote. He's a real jewl :) No matter what opinion or point of view he's expressing, he always manages to do it with tact and diplomacy.
Heres to you Thomas! *raises glass*
