Very interesting. I ended up looking at all the related links as well. Do you have a Ju-Jo? And if so, where did you get it?

hello,

i was very fortunate to obtain a ju-jo magnum just last week from an unexpected source. i am not at liberty to disclose. sincerest apologies.

the magnum is a little different than the regular ju-jo - it has a handguard, the "tops" can screw off. there is a spike that can be screwed in. i will be putting up to my site pix of the ju-jo magnum very soon in addition to a homemade ju-jo. of course, the homemade version is not as "slick" as the real one, but it is close enough and very useable for training/educational purposes.

sorry to dredge up an old thread

but I've trained in Paracombatives Jujutsu at Northwestern for the last 3+ years, and am planning to get my black belt at the end of this school year. I have been trained with the ju-jo, so if anyone has questions feel free to ask me.

I CANNOT, however, provide outside people with ju-jos. Sorry! :)

incidentally, since john lewis's death in 1996, the author of that article, allen reed, is the chief instructor (kaiden) for paracombatives. I had lunch with him today.
