Vale Tudo is Brazillian (portugese) for "Anything Goes" and is used to denote a sport MMA format that combines striking a grappling skills - usually fought in a ring with either no gloves or very light gloves like Harbingers or Ouano's.

Basically if you think Muay Thai, BJJ and wrestling mixed together you won't be far off.
