Hi Guys,

Just to mix things up a bit I thought of a wee suggestion for the site.

Now I visit the site on a pretty regular basis and one of the things that irks me a little is the front page.

Nothing against you Cooler but the front page picture gets a little boring after a while. :)

How about asking MAP members to submit MA photographs in a specific section that will be up for that months photgraph?? Or alternatively photographs are chosen at random every month from a specific section/style so you never know, YOU might be the cover star of MAP this month!

We could even hold a caption competition to go along with it!

Just a suggestion obviously rules and regulations need ironed out.

I would just like to see a little more variety to the front page.

Cheers

:D

Anything's better than Cooler's photo!

Seriously though, we have been considering how to make the site more interesting, and changing the 'front cover' on a regular basis is a good idea. Also quite like the idea of the caption competition if members are going to be polite(ish).

Anyone else got any ideas on what they would like to see if (and when) we do a site redesign?
What else should be on the front page?
Any other sections that would be nice to have?
What currently don't you like about the site layout?

I'd like it to be like the front cover of Blitz or some MA mag with changing pics like Ralph Macchio, I mean Tosh_Spice suggested.

Cheers Cooler!

I felt a change when I logged in today, was kinda boring with the same photo :D

ps - If it's attention you really want then maybe you can put up a photo of a woman kicking some b*** ;) :p [j/k]

Changing the "cover" pic regularly is a good idea. I also like the caption competition idea. Once every few weeks it could change and people could just post their suggested captions as comments. At the end of the period, the mods could select a top three or top five or something and make it a poll and users could then vote for the winner.

Winner gets... some kudos, I guess, as Cooler is a Scotsman! ;)

What do you think? Pics could come from magazines, captures from video, user pics, anything really. Just for the skit.

If its gonna go on the front page, it would have to be clean and in good taste. The front page image is the first thing a new visitor/member sees.

Should keep the Mod's busy :D

Doesn't have to be a front page feature. ;)
