The BBC (UK TV) are running series about the History of Boxing.
One of the 'featured' boxers on tonights show was Mike Tyson.
I know that they condensed his career down to 20 minutes and concentrated more on his bad times, but that guy seriously 'lost it'.
Anybody else see it?

I saw it. It was a pretty good show. Nothing I never knew before but good to see the old Jack Dempsey clips.
Also early Tyson shadowboxing was good too watch you could see that the guy was class.

Mike tyson is scary. wouldn't like to meet him in a dark alley...hell wouldn't like to meet him in a sunshined filled alley with candy growing from the ground and money growing from trees....i like my ears.

I saw some of it, but because i was sat in a quiet pub with a few friends, i couldn't really watch it, nor hear it for that matter! From what i seen of it though, it looked really good.

And to think, he might end up doing K1 or Pride in the future.

Johnson was an animal! (in a good way!) He looked in phenominal shape back then, even by todays standards (the white boxers looked like they wouldn't last 5 seconds in a modern day UFC ring). I liked the way he acted too, I know it took Joe Louis' humility etc. to get black fighters accepted in the ring and he did alot of good for African Americans etc. but you gotta love it when Johnson just shows he's the best, unapoligetically and rubs it in peoples faces. Why act subservient when you are the best?

Tyson was an outstanding boxer that is often considered an unskilled thug. My view is he was a stunning technical fighter who had huge ability and talent.
Sadly the promoters and all get in the way too often.
