I watched a program about chatting up girls, they said the chat up line is cr@p!!!

And, what you need to do instead of the chessy, vomit inducing technique :D

Compliment, Introduction, Question.

Suppose the first one could be any of the above cheesy lines, but then you need to get to know each other slightly with the introduction. And the most important thing is the open ended question that gets you chatting.

Well this worked (well, at least 28 years ago it did!! )

GUY: "Hi, do you have a boyfriend?"
ME: "Yes"
GUY: "Then will you do me a favor and give him my sympathy?"
ME: "Huh?"
GUY: "Well I don't know him, but I'm sure he's going to hurt when I take you from him."
