You would do well to join www.Easy-Tek.com
Some of the Members, (many from MAP), are Web Designers.
Tell them JohnnyX sent you.
Cheers. :)

I've done some design, including the site linked to in my signature.
I mostly use Dreamweaver & Corel Photopaint 11.
My only tip off the bat is that if you use DHTML menus like the ones on the site in my signature, you will get severely burned in Google ranking. Lots of people have tried to "spam" search engines using DHTML, so everyone who uses it, properly or not, gets punished.

I use Dreamweaver / Fireworks MX
Websites I'm responsible for are many - web design is a major part of my job.
The HTML part of MAP for one.
I'm just into part 2 of a set of articles about basic web design - starting right from the basics in Notepad but getting into CSS early!
They're on www.easy-tek.com (http://www.easy-tek.com) unde the articles section.

I've always hated Dreamweaver. I haven't seen what the new one can do but the other versions I tried always seemed to put out very messy code. Which was always a pain when it came to fixing bugs for compatibility with other web browsers.
I'm using CSE HTML Validator Lite v3.50 right now. It's really a tag editor but it works and it's free! :D I also use Serif Photo Plus 5.5. Wich also happens to be free. :D

Though not technically a part of what I do for the Airforce... web devolopment has been a secondary duty of mine for a while now. I was a part of the design and production of the 22 Wing Intranet site, and carry on designing a portion of said site.
Most of the work I have done have been along the lines of ASP devolopment, with obvious work needed with DHTML, XML, Javascripting, etc. All work were done with Microsoft's InterDEV.

Sounds like you used a poorly set up installation of Dreamweaver.

LOL you're probably right YODA. It was at uni so bleah :bang: The very first web site i ever built was using Netscape Composer. Which actually produced some very good results.

I've always liked DreamWeaver and been using it since V4 I think. I'm running on MX/2004 at the moment but I'm by no means professional in the least!!! I use it for my club web-site which has been a learning pet for me.
I'd love to get into Flash, but I can't manage the time at the moment ... maybe as we deeper into winter I might get some time to play. If anyone can point me in a good starting direction I'd be most grateful?
Cheers
