Hello everybody, long time no speak.
When I started to go the gym, I was told to do any cardio work after having a weights work out, although at the time I understood why................ I just can't remember now, why this is?? Thoughts?
Also, does anybody on this board actually eat raw eggs as part of there diet? Strange question I know, but just curious!!!
Thanks :Alien:

Howdy
Cardio after weights:
Cardio 1st would deplete your muscle glycogen stores and limit your performance on the weights.
Cardio is for burning energy - so having weights deplete your glycogen stores is a plus.
Raw Eggs
Not on your nelly! Yeuch! Salmonella!

I'd recommend doing cardio in a seperate session to weights completely. After you've worked your muscles out, what they need is simple sugars and whey protein, they need to be fueled so they can start to regrow as quickly as possible.
Do some high intensity cardio on days you're not doing weights - short sprints and interval training. These bring a good raise in metabolic rate and also released Insulin and Growth Hormone - so doing this high intensity cardio on a seperate day and having post-cardio nutrition just like post-workout nutrition is like an extra boost to build more muscle - Sprinters are more muscular than marathon runners.
