If my opinion was against what others are saying and I state my opinion and hope that others can understand my view, fine. If they do not take it on board or mount a counter argument, what should I do?

Should I expend a lot of time and 'energy' doing what amounts to banging my head against a wall? Or just wonder to somewhere else and do something more productive.

If I truly believed someone's opinion was worthless, I would not give them the time of day. Anything they said would be viewed under the same light.

How much effort should you give to something that is a waste of time? I tried debating religion with a 'born again' chappy. It was like a fart in a hurricane. Absolutely no impact what so ever.

welcome to my world!

And your quote for the day:

"Opinions are like arseholes; everyones got one"

Opinions are useless things. Everyone has one, and regardless of whether its right or wrong, this or that, yes or no, it doesn't matter, because the only thing that people will agree to is the 'agree to disagree' idea.

Useless.
