hi there,

I'm hoping to (finally) get broadband in the next month or so after harrassing parents for about half a year, i found out about a few different providers but one in particular seems to have a really good deal. You get a 512Kb set up for £29 a month, about £5 more than most providers but you get unlimited free landline calls within the UK for no extra cost. Sounds too good to be true if you have a family who regularly spend over £15 a month on phone calls, anybody know anything about the company or had any bad/good experiences with them?

any advice appreciated, cheers

OneTel is part of Centrica <- Formed from the demerger of British Gas.

Centrica 'own' many brands, including the AA.

Cheers. :)

We had a large telecommunications company over here called Onetel. They went bust in a very bad way a few years ago. Being in my mid-teens, I didnt really care about it and don't know the details.

Could it be the same company?

Tesco are starting up a Broadband service... £19.97 for 512k a month, and no data limit.

I think with OneTel, you have to sign up for a phone deal too, which may involve having to type a 4 digit code before you dial out.
