A Car list

Here you go, see whether anybody can help me with this little problem........

Basically I am after a list of every car make/model which is sold within the UK, I.e Ford, Focus.

I have searched the net, but to no avail. Basically I am after the list to put in a MS Access database, which I am designing for a friend who owns a garage.

All help would be appreciated! Now I think this is a tuffy!!

I had a quick look and didn't find much...

You should probably try sending an email to Autotrader, Top Gear and various insurance companies to ask where they get the lists displayed on their websites.

I had a quick look at the source of Autotrader and it looks like you might be able to, God forbid, steal a list from them somehow... "Might be able to" is about the limit of my ability I'm afraid!

I is a tricky one!! I started to manually type them into my table, but after getting past the a's, I thought to myself! No chance!

I will see what I can do!

Another option might be to get in touch with the Parker's Used Car Price Guide (www.parkers.co.uk). As I remember, the printed copy you can buy in the shops had every model of car imaginable (including special editions). I had a quick look and there is a "Contact Us" button so they may help or point you in the right direction....
