Chat blues

Man I just can't seem to get into chat I got the following problems in chat usually -

1. Opera says java not installed

Ok I install it and finally gets in touch with tosh

2. I somehow get kicked out of chat and get prompted for username and password :(

3. next time I load it, opera says l\applet loaded but status bar is still loading.......fine so I wait for about 5 mins and it says applet crashed

Can someone help me out here

I know I asked this before, but are you on a network or behind a firewall? What version of Opera are you using? I'm using 6.05 without any problems, except maybe the lack of people in chat....

I am using opera 6.01.......as for the firewall, no it's not there :(

hmm... I would suggest downloading and installing oper 6.05. Only time I have had a problem with it is when trying to connect thru my LAN. Otherwise, it works great off of my main machine.

Do you have a pop up killer running?

I have to disable mine before I can run chat.

Well....it worked :D I did both, opera 6.05 n accept pop ups :D

Never thought of pop up killer. I have my opera set to refuse them and it seems to work fine. hmm...

Well....it don't really matter I think, since it seems to run fine now :) [man those fingers really ache when crossed :D ]
