Especially in the UK... have looked online and there are soooo many to look at... I thought I would get a pair of trousers first and then a top later but where is the best place to go that will either deliver to the UK or is in the UK... thanks all...

I'm starting to think about this myself, and I'm wondering, is there any difference between a Tai Chi uniform and a Kung Fu uniform (as presented on the MA supplies sites)?

Are there advantages/disadvantages to having a cotton vs. silk uniform?

Are there any appropriate shoes which will allow one to practice on a mat-covered floor without "sticking" to it?

Cotton-sole shoes work well on mats, tile, wood, and cement. They tend to hang up on carpeting, though.

In taiji the color worn by a master is white

I have a few pairs of kung fu / tai chi trousers for sale, plus two silk suits - one XL in black and on L in white - PM me if you want more details.

Haaptic is right - white is usually the sign of a master......

I bought a kung fu uniform and it feels great when practicing, 100% cotton... and the shoes I have are very good... slide nicely but give me good grip too...

I like Frantzis's uniform:

Similar to the one I use. Cheap and easy to find. :D

Nice one... thats what I was using... much prefer the cotton though as it is cooler and moves easier... (I get very hot and then start to sweat... not a pretty piccie) ;)
