Hi all,

Can someone with MSN chat to someone using Yahoo messenger? Or would you require a third party product lie trillian to get it to work?

I think trilllian would be the way to go with that one IMO...

Third party is the only way. You have to have accounts with both to for them to show up on the third party. I think trillian or gaim would be the best.

I recommend Miranda IM which has plugins for all the major chat networks (icq, yahoo, msn, jabber, aim, irc) and unlike Trillian it has no ads/banners, uses less RAM and is smaller in size at around 700k. Now Miranda IM won't register accounts for you. You must still have a user account with each network so go to each chat network's website like MSN/Yahoo and sign up for an account, once you get your username/number and password then go set that up in Miranda IM options.
