What do i do next?

Hi all you dedicated martial arts enthusiasts, i hope you can help?
I like in kent and i want to start tai chi but i dont have a clue as to where any classes are. Can anyone help and can i teach myself via the net or books/videos?
Any suggestions?

I think Tai Chi Chuan would be difficult to learn from books. There are so many different aspects to each posture, it would be difficult to capture in still photos (I'm just thinking about the numerous types of corrections Laoshi makes to my postures) -- and that's just the postures themselves, never mind about getting the energies correct.

In my opinion, videos would be better than books, but a class with a good teacher is by far the best.
