The site was taken down by our ISP at 6:30am this morning for a period of around 3 hours. This was a preventative measure as the site was experiencing extraordinary load and had also done so at the same time yesterday.

We are currently investigating the causes of this incident. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Most users ever online was 325, Today at 12:09 AM


If it were not for the following downtime it would be kinda impressive, go MAP ;)

Better to be safe than sorry.

I'd be interested to know the outcome.

But, you probably already guessed I would say something like that anyway! :D

And no, it wasn't someone not paying the bills!

My best guess is it was JohhnyX manually checking all the archive pages. :D

I was here and I never noticed. Doh! :rolleyes:

I usually look at the 'Current Active Users' at the bottom of the Forums index page a couple of times a night.

The 325 does seem quite a jump from the numbers of users I have seen recently - i.e. low 200's.

it has been rising recently to high 200's - I was hoping to beat the previous record of 320 quite soon anyway.
