I got this problem of having pop up ad's coming up during my games or movies i am watching. I dont have any web pages open or any thing, they just pop up about once every 30 minutes. I have high speed net (not quite shure witch one, Quest i think), but that means i am always connected, so their is no way to log off. Possible spy ware doing this? Help plz.

You likely have a program that got downloaded without your knowledge. I'd suggest the program called Ad-ware. Gets rid of those kinds of programs. Go to www.download.com and search for ad-ware

You can also try downloading spybot. Just run a google search for it.

Is it an actually ad, as html? Or is it just a message box with written text in it? (Such as a Windows message). Are you running Windows XP?

Teryan, you're running Windows XP/2000?

Right click on 'MY COMPUTER', then click on 'MANAGE' from the dropdown box.
Look at the list on the left panel. Double click on 'SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS'.
From the extended menu, select 'SERVICES'.
Look at the list on the right panel. Scroll down until you see 'MESSENGER'. Right click on it.
Click on 'PROPERTIES'.
From the new window, select 'DISABLED' from the startup type.
Click on the 'STOP' button.
Click 'OK'
This may fix your problem. And from your description, it should. Let us know how you go.
