I've been having lot of fun on my nephews xbox, Mortal Kombat and Dead or Alive 3.

Do you think fighting games can be of use to us martial artist. In the way they make us think in a strategic way and stuff....

No I wouldn`t say so, you an play a beat em up as much as you like, learn all the secret moves and then some bloody 12 year old comes along and bashes the buttons and beats you to a pulp.
No that I`m bitter at all.

I'd day they are of use, not sure how much. But they do get you thinking, about game plan, tactics etc.

More for the reaction speeds. You get some eye / finger / hand coordination too and some awareness playing quake, battlefield and medal of honour.

For tactics play Worms World Party. One on One beat em ups aren't all that good for reaction to what is happenening, more timing. The raiden series was good for awareness for what is happening and reacting immediately as is Battlefield - with a lan and cooperating team tactics too.

Is it Mortal Kombat 5 you are talking about? Is it good? I'm just waiting for it to come out over here and am gonna buy it anyway.

Grand Theft Auto : Vice City for the PS2

I don't know much about the X-Box, but I always hear Halo's good.

Zone of the Enders2 by far(PS2). The plot is great, the gameplay is fast, graphics can't be beat, and best of all you get to go around destroying things in a gorgeous, mobile suit that moves as gracefully as a balerina. :woo: Oh yeah, you can level up as well, which makes you stronger, and faster. I love this game.

As far as the Xlax, I've also heard that Halo was good, but wasn't as good as Half-Life for PC.

Metal Gear Solid 2 is pretty good

Cut scenes are WAAAAAYYYYYY to long though :)

A little too easy too (unless on Euro extreme - damn sneezing!)

Morrowind for Xbox definitley, way better than halo, you can make any character and be anything you want. Also Shenmue 2, very good storyline and alot of realistic martial arts stuff in it too, really awesome game.


I don't have a PS2 but the best game would have to be "way of the Samurai" It has alot of cool swordfightingness, just really fun, simple controls.

I haven't really had time to play video games lately but these are my favourites.

Probably the only REALLY good game on xbox is "halo" (cant believe i spent £300 to play that one game).

As for PS2 umm, GTA3: vice city is great
tensu wrath of heaven is great aswell.

and eh hem what about game cube... nintendo make some of the finest games in the world even if it is the lowest selling consol on the market ATM. i'd have to say that i've been playing quite a few american games right now and you should keep your eyes on zelda:wind waker and animal crossing cause they are gonna break some records.

Best avialable GC game in the uk right now is probably either super smash bros melee or metroid prime.

Tosh said MGS2 was good, and it did rock, but i dont think substance was a good idea, seams like they took the same game, changed raidens skin back to snakes skin and put a new packaging on the box, should i really pay £40 for it... don't think so.

Devil May Cry 2 for PS2 ..... I know this isn't a PS2 or XBOX game but I MUST post it. It's probably one of the if not the best RPG I have ever played Legend of Dragoon for PS. It's a 4 disk long game, and each disk seems like 2 game lengths. It has some of the best animated movie scenes ever!!!!!!!!!!! a must play.
