What fighters are inspirational to you? if you could choose a single fighter, who is the most inspirational?

Also, make sure you give a good reason!

(no Bruce Lee please! lol)

Mine would have to be Genki Sudo, he seems to always have fun. Alot of fighters i see don't look like they enjoy what they're doing, but too me, Genki makes it fun! cant ever forget his flying triangle attempt in K1 lol.

He always reminds me that i do martial arts because i enjoy it.

Anyone else next?

I really like Wanderlei Silva but what got me liking MMA and watching it would be the UFC 1 event where I saw the fighter/GJJ practitioner Royce Gracie.

I also have to go for Genki Sudo and Carlos Newton for their technical ability. I thought the Renzo Gracie v Carlos Newton Pride fight was excellent!

Genki Sudo is just a class entertainer. He seems like an ok bloke as well.

BJ Penn is also a good balanced fighter too.

Yeah, BJ Penn is another inspirational character of mine, apart from i think he can get alittle big headed, but then he is as good as he says he is :)

Randy Couture - the guy's 40 years old and whoops ass on guys half his age. Awesome!

Minotauro - hardest head I ever saw in MMA as well as a good BJJer. Damned tuff!

CroCop - I urge you to tell this guy that "striking doesn't work" Instant one kick KO!

My favourite fighter would have to be randy "the natural" couture mainly because of his fight between tito oritz at UFC 44. I hope when i am 40 years old ill be in that type of physical condition.

I think that Chuck ' The Ice Man' Liddell has to be one of the best because the way he delt with tito ortiz and the rest of his opponants has left me wondering can anyone stop the iceman. I also think that Ernesto Hoost from K1 has to be another inspiration because of the way him and Andy Hug used to go at and i think my mate Hunter kaval will agree with me on this one as we have both seen the fights on eurosport.

Bill Wallace because he took the time to talk to me right after a match when I was a little kid. He was very friendly and encouraging and I still admire the guy. Kathy Long because she's a babe and, okay thats not a good reason, but she does a lot of work for disadvantaged young women and tells them theres NOTHING that they can't do if they want to.

i think mine ight be naoya ogawa because when Stefan Leko talked trash about him for 8 straight days before the 2004 total elimination fight, he still ignored his insults and destroyed him in less than two minutes in the ring,

I think he's a great judo fighter and he represnets my style well
