yes, i saw the chinese version last week... it is like... WOOOOW. It's one of the costliest martial films ever made.
You want a description of it ?!?!, i know only one word for: EXCELLENT

Agreed, It's so amazingly well filmed and beautiful it almost makes you weep. Far better than Crouching Tiger, which was awful, this is the best asian film I've seen in Europe.

Yes I saw this movie listed in the Hong Kong movie database (http://www.hkmdb.com/) They say the 'story' is fair but the cinematography, sets, and costume design were absolutely amazing!

Great Movie,Chris Dolye (an Aussie) was the ciematographer,lots of color and texture.A very pratriotic film and I think lots of CMA people will start learning calligraphy and Jian(straight sword) work as a result.

I though the movie was crap, because of the lame story. I dont get why he had to died at the end at all. All the sacrifice for that one chance to assassinate the emperior and he didnt when he had the chance. I did love the weapon fight between Donnie Yen and Jet Li. Donnie Yen did he signature triple kick with the spear. (Awsome)

It was great, by far one of the best movies I've seen. Including the story -one of the best.

Stories about the Qin Emperor are important to a lot of chinese as he was the first to Unite China(sort of as we know it today)and unify the Language.There is no question about him being assinated ,but generally in history he is protrayed as a paranoid skizo Despot who is searching for immortality rather then an enlightened caring ruler,re:the nationalist feel of this movie.
