my gosh it hurts. my shins lead to my knees/legs tingling for an hour or more at a time. if i lay down, it is hard to sleep. it feels numb and poor circulated. even if i stretch i still tingle! i have been doing some readings and may think its b12 defficiency, but i have been taking a multivitamin for a month and no help. this usually happens 2-3times a week. if is smoke pot, it seems to elevate the sensation of tingeling (maybe beacuse increase in poorer circulation).

i use to think it was my shoes and shin splints, but i upgraded to good quality shins and they still hurt. anyone else got ideas?

Personally, I think you should visit a doctor.

It may be the shin splints - I had this for a while. An exercise I found helpful was to stand with my toes under my bed and practice raising the front of my feet to work the muscles in my shins.

Hope this helps!

My Spider-Shins are tingling. :D

The descriptionyou've given does sound like 'shin splints', I only really get them when running or jogging. I've been told that it might be the way I run and that I'm 'digging' in my feet too much. Also the type of footware you have on whilst training is supposed to be a factor as well.

...i upgraded to good quality shins...

Where can I get some of those?

I'd see a doctor if it's bothering you this much.

It could also be "restless leg syndrome." I would suggest seeing an acupuncturist/OMD.

Hi! Tingling is not a good simptom. See the doctor to rule out nerve envolvment. Find out what is it,than fix it up. Don't wait!

i think i wrote this at 5am at work haha, i ment shoes not shins hahah.

well i have a shoulder injury, so for 5 months or so i haven't excersized much more then 2x maybe. i bought better athletic shoes then my falt addidas, and my shins still hurt. they hurt like 1-2hours a day which sometimes leads to heavy tingling or numbing. i went to the school doctor and she didn't reccomend much. so i will ask my PT when i recover from shoulder surgeyr maybe what to do.

and you say it doesn't go away when you lie down or anything?
This could be pointing at a more serious problem.
The big book advises that it's probably either a pulled muscle or a soft tissue injury. In either case, you need to rest it for a few days, preferably in an elevated position. After a few days you can start to exercise it again- and by exercise I mean 'bend about a bit', not 'run a marathon'.
If it gets very bad or becomes swollen- go see doc. Likewise, if you see any small red tender areas or painful swollen calves, get it seen to. seriously.

Oh, and weed is neither big nor clever. Trust me on this.

thanks for the advice knight. i think after talking to my mom and realizing my grandma and dad have poor circulation in their legs, maybe its something to do with this? i wonder if when if theres soemthing i can do to improve circulation? maybe a healthy diet hehe. i dont know if its circulation or lack of oxygen in my blood, but it seems maybe this could be the reason that my legs beyond my shins sometimes hurt.

either that, or i need better pot
