It depends whay you mean by Kickboxing - there are several very different types. I'm lumping various form of kickboxing and Muay Thai together for this generalisation.

As a generalisation I'd say the punches are the same - but that boxers in general have a higher level of skill in this regard because they specialise in that area and their stance doesn't need to cater for delivering and defending from kicks, and in some cases knees and elbow.

The stance and footwork is different, especially if the Kickboxing allows low kicks, knees and elbows.

it's a rather simplistic answer but it makes total sense. you tend to address your opponent differently because of the kicks factor.

there are many forms of kickboxing. they all have different ways of expressing the art. they some may adopt a stance that is akin to boxing. some others don't.

They are different? So if somebody took tae kwon do and boxing, and another guy took kickboxing, they wouldn't have similar training? How would their stances differ?

The problem with that question is, if 2 guys take boxing their stances differ. Same with TKD and Kickboxing. TKD to a lesser extent since whatever works in Boxing is generally what you do and what is the set way in Karate-ish arts is what you do.
