Anyone read this book? I'm thinking of buying it but I'd like your opinions on this book, what's it about exactly? Is it like a documentary? If you have read this book then please feel free to give your opinions on this book.

BUY THIS BOOK

Basically it consists of Bruce Lee's personal training dairies.

What he did day to day - martial arts training, weights, running etc etc...

Makes a very interesting read.

Be warned though - just 'cos Bruce did it doesn't make it right - or of value. Especially seeing how training methods & sports science has moved on since then.

It's been several months now, Cain: what do you think of the book?

I read it through and thought it was a joke; an over-ambitious and badly executed book that ends up unable to tell you the Magic Method that it spends so many pages describing!

However, if you forget what it's supposed to be and take it for what it is, then it's got some merit.

rgds,
David

PS Sorry for resurrecting so many dead threads but i do like books :)

erm....it's not supposed to be an "instruction" book y'know ;)

What it contains is OK for Brucey fans but definitely not what it intimates on the can. Sycophantic, sanctified and uber-hyped. Still, I'd rather have read it than not :) Glad you all like it, of course!

David

Err... I have this book, can't say I've read the whole thing.

It's basically a detailed look at Bruce Lee's workouts, nutrition, ect. Less on the arts, more on his excercises and excercise rituals.

It has no useful detail, whatsoever; more like pedantic anecdotes with no continuity. Occasionally, guesswork passes for continuity!

David
