Hey members here is something for us all to post on.
Just like Mel's scenarios. I will choose 2 well known martial artist. You are to choose who you think would win if they were in a full contact sparring match and why. What kinda things or moves would be see. After a few posts i will choose another 2. My goal is to end up with a tournament type deal. After the first few you will understand what im talkin about. It should be fun. Im not doing this to disrespect any martial artist, but just to wee everyones thoughts.
Have fun

v/s
Mark Dacascos (Only the Strong - Capoeira)

Philip Rhee has at least a clue what Full Contact is about, whereas Mark is mostly an actor ( forgive me Olivier ), so no contest. However....Philip Rhee seems like such a smart, decent guy, that I reckon he would quickly realise that Dacascos was just an Actor, and wouldn't smash his pretty face

Actually Dacascos has taken several titles, but I would go with Rhee because his hand techniques are much more developed (Dacascos has only been boxing for 2 years).

I have to say from my limited knowledge that I'm betting on Jackie in this on.
My reasoning:
Jackie has more experience and has had just about everything broke in his body once and just keeps coming back I think that kind of determination and focus would take him through in the end.

I would go with Jackie Chan for the same reason...... Nothing you can do will keep him down....

Ah, Jet Li may be tough, but he can't use comiedic weapons such as French loaves and fish!
Yeah, Jackies the man. Did you hear about him getting hit at one of his book signings though? A fan asked him to sign his autobiography and when he reached for his pen the guy hit him "Ouch, why'd you do that" irrated Jackie Chan
Fan "Your Jackie Chan, I thought you'd block it"
Huh?

Didn't Mark grow up training in Kajukenbo and Won Hop Kuen Do with his dad?
He learned some Capoeira for the movie "Only the Strong" ... but that's not his first style.
From what I've heard about his background (and, admittedly, my knowledge of him is second-hand and sketchy), I would guess that he can handle himself in a fight and certainly knows how to take some abuse.
I don't know anything about Philip Rhee's background so can't make any guess on who might have the upper hand in a bout.

Mike,
He did and he is boxing now, but Rhee has done alot of Hapkido and other arts that train with joint locks, traps, and advanced hand techniques as well as kicks, I think that might give him the upper hand in a matchup.

I just read back to the post I made a while ago, and realised that a lot of what I wrote was to do with my wife saying how handsome Dacascos was.( Jealousy I guess.)
I wish I could change my mind, but if he fought me, he wouldn't be pretty no more! (I had to mop up her drool)
Ordinarily I would be wary of a good looking opponent.
It means one of two things;
Either he is very, very good.......
or he has never actually had a fight.

Chuck Norris without a doubt no contest.
If I am correct Chuck Norris was unbeaten in the ring while Van Damme claims to hold some obscure title which he never realy discusses (I could be wrong about that) anyway my money would be on Chuck Norris.

So you guys, say experience over relative youth? JCVD has youth, flexibility and fitness on his side. Chuck is no Spring Chicken.
Have to say that I've seen neither in real life. Only in films!

Chuck could certainly conceal a weapon or two in his body hair. I seem to recall Bruce Lee checking this out during the Coliseum match on 'Way of the dragon'.

Norris, whilst JCVD is posing in front of the camera, Norris could hit him over the head with one of his competition trophies.

Cooler,
That title was proven to be a farce. He competed a couple times but he was never the Belgian National Champ that he claimed to be.

Isn't Chuck too nice to beat someone though?
I mean sure, if JC was peddling drugs, then Chuck would take him out, but what if, on the verge of delivering the knockout blow, Chuck spotted an old lady trying to cross the road.........?
Could be all the distraction JC needed to throw that trademark, decapitating jumping turning kick thingy

Cheers waya I did have my doubts about JCVD holding any title.
I read in one article (wether it is true or not I don't know) that when JC arrived in America and wanted to break into films he went to visit Chuck Norris. On arriving Chuck asked to see what JC had in terms of martial arts ability and when JC showed him Chuck was so impressed he asked JC to be his personal coach.
You decide

Cooler I have very serious doubts about that. Chuck Norris was winning fights when Van Damme was still nursing lol. Personally I would like to see him fight one more time.
Thinkin of Van Damme I think of when Don Wilson challenged him and put his title up and Van Damme wouldn't do it...... Interesting thoughts.

I challenge either Don or Jean Claude to a duel. I bet neither of them can act the part of an ugly sister in my local Christmas Pantomime. I reckon Chuck could scrape a part, though the beard gives him a head start!

Can I mention on your previous bout that Van Damme is only 2'3" tall. Chuck Norris can't kick that low and would obviously loose to Van Damme headbutting him in the groin.
Don't know who Don 'the dragon' Wilson is, but I've got Bill Wallaces stretching book. My money's on BW.

Oooh...that would be close!
True Don Wilson was PKA U.S. Middleweight Champion when Bill Wallace was PKA World Champion , and that Bill Wallace would help out Don Wilson on his techniques... but the fact that Don won 11 World Titles in 3 different weight classes, in 6 different organisations, remained champ for 11 straight years, beating 12 other world champions and 15 national champions in 4 different continents gives him my vote. Cmon he fought almost anyone, anytime, any place and any rules and won...He's Got to be the man!
So I vote for Don!

Steven Segal would not fight! He has been told by his guru type blokey that he has to stop making films where he beats people up or he will not reach nirvana (or whichever of the states of enlightenment he is aiming for). This has also extended to him being told that he is not to wear black anymore. That said, if Mr Lyn was harming the environment or hurting defenceless poor people then Steven would kick his ass, using a number of the more exotic and showy aikido techniques as well as some "spin on a wire kick eight people while in the air" techniques. If it came to a fight my money is on SS but VL could win due to non participation of opponent.

LOL. I watched Ticker the other day. Bad movie. REAL bad.
Seagul has a scene wher he has six or seven bag guys line up and attack him one at a time. The camerwork was dodgy and you couldn't quite see what was going on. But apart from the guys falling over and falling unconcious/dieing from broken wrists or elbows it looked more "real" than any other bit of "martial hero kickass time" movie to date.

Yep , it sure did!
100% Seagal, dont know who VL is but he aint touching Seagal in his NICO days.So as it is people in their prime Seagal would have participated.Anyway,he would be practicing the way of harmony not tearing someones arm in half!
