What is it that you do for a living? Do you like your job?

Myself, I'm a student doing a masters of science in computers, which I enjoy lots. Apart from that, I fix PC's, do waitressing and bar work to make extra cash. The bar work's great, mainly cos I get to watch the rugby/football/speedway for free, and get to drink beer at the end of my shift ;)

Over to you :)

I would like to say "career martial artist" but I can't. I need to work :( Anyways, I do retail part time, and do martial arts the "other" part time. My honey is the one who makes the money LOL.

I work for a local authority here in the North West of England. Duties include...

Web Design
MS-Access development (mainly transfering old Dataease apps into Access at the moment)
IT Support
Network Admin
GIS Systems (Mapinfo, Fastmap, Datamap etc)
etc etc....

Each of those roles has enough workload to justify a full time member of staff. Unfortunately there's just me - doh!

In other words, if it's IT based I do it.

My family describes me as working with computers. I work for a environmental charity, doing their accounts and IT type stuff. I wouldn't do it if I didn't have a broadband connection, it’s the only thing that keeps my brain alive!

I'd like to do more programming though!

Senior Aircraft Mechanic at Andrews AFB, in beautiful Maryland. That's the job that pays the bill... I'm also learning computer repairs and networking, which I hope will pay the bills in the future. Oh, and Dad, full time Dad and husband. And don't let anyone ever tell you that's not a job!

I'm a cop and i love it!! Where else do you get to drive cars fast, through red lights, avoiding pedestrains of course. Kick down doors, chase people on foot and in cars. Arrest people get to test a few martialy artsy techniques out in the field so to speak.

Also get free hand cuffs which come in useful at home.

Nice to see all my taxes are well spent Cyclepath. When are you guys up for a 40% pay increase? Looking forward to the strike so I can speed at will and mug old ladies.

Me, I'm a sales rep. I sell speakers and amplifiers from 8 watts to 80+ Kwatts. You could say I damage peoples hearing for a living.

We're not allowed to strike, its against the law. Carries a prison sentence of ten years "causing dissaffection in the police force" Just suggestting it can get you locked up. One question though who would arrest us if we went on strike???????

Easy, the army.

Have to say they seem to be coping well enough with the firefighter's strike. I'm almost suprised no one's said that the firefighters can leave and let the army take over.

That would be fine if the Firefighters are prepared to go to Iraq when that kicks off :p

I'm a Filmmaker, Screenwriter etc. I teach some Screenwriting in London. I'm also developing my own projects. Which is very hard.

I alternate between paid commission-gigs and then writing one of my own. Which I am doing now and is driving me crazee.

The Film Industry is the most frustrating and skewed Industry to ever work in.

I've taught Muay Thai in the past, although I don't teach at present, as London Rents are through the roof.

I also run the Website at the bottom of this post, which is just getting going, the content being lovingly crafted by my fair hand..
