Yep, The Flaming Lips. I bought their last album, “Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots”. It’s probably not everyone’s cup of tea and I can’t see it making the charts, but then that’s probably why I like it.

Yep, it’s certainly a good one. My problem these days is that there is so much good music out there that when I go to get a CD, I find it difficult to decide and often walk out with something completely different to what I went in for. I could go in looking for Xavier Rudd and come out with Spider Bait!

Yes, you’re dead right. They just lose me with some of theirs. I find them a bit of a contradiction, some really brilliant stuff, and then some very boring stuff. But give me Radiohead any day over some of the commercial stuff like Taxi Ride.

So, hows the training going? There are some good branches over in Canada.

Ah, see I have a problem when it comes to this question. I like a lot of different types of music. Mostly in the rock, punk, techno, a little hip-hop, and classical genres.
Pink Floyd, Queen, Eagles, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Led Zepplin, AC-DC, Black Sabbath, Linkin Park, Evanescence (Although they need to fire their guitarist, which they did, so now I think their next album is going to be better.), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Kittie, Jack Off Jill, Thousand Foot Krutch (Newer stuff more than old!), Relient K, No Doubt, Monica, Tori Amos, Jewel, Melissa Ethridge, Sarah McGlaughlan, They Might Be Giants, Robert Miles, DJ Taka, Nobuo Uematsa, John Williams, and Richard Vagner.
Although these are my particular tastes in music, I do not classify any one type of music as bad. I'll listen to just about anything, although this stuff is some of my favorites.

Lessee...

Dream Theater, Opeth, anything involving Devin Townsend (Vai, solo, Strapping Young Lad et al), early Metallica (first four albums), Rush, Steve Vai, Ron Thal/Bumblefoot, The Mars Volta, Ayreon, Iced Earth, Bloodbath...mostly progressive rock/metal, but I have a soft spot for stuff like Bon Jovi (Slippery When Wet and New Jersey in particular) Aerosmith (the 70s stuff) and Guns 'n' Roses (Appetite For Destruction especially).

Otep has some pretty good songs. Hatebreed, the Agony Scene, As I Lay Dying, Yellowcard, and some other lesser-known bands are pretty good.

I am going to have to check those out, alot of lesser known bands are alot better then the main streem. But being creative don't always cut it I geuss it's main streem or bust.....

For me it's got to be Wu-Tang Clan. So many good songs. Then The Roots.
