Computer games are weak!

Apparantly computer games are good for hand eye co-ordination, so maybe they are a good thing!

That was a statement on behalf of Heriot Watt Aikido Club re: the defensive nature of Aikido from Club Captain: Colin Stewart

Ass to eye coordination???
Is that an Edinburgh thing?
Used to have a Playstation 1 till some Bar Steward stole it. These days I do play Baldurs Gate on my PC when I have some spare time.
When the UK get's reasonably priced broadband connection, won't the console systems like X-box dissapear?

Not a chance. People said the same thing about the SNES, Megadrive, Dreamcast, PS1, Saturn, Commodore 64, N64, Tangerine, and so on. They're still around (well, I've got them anyway). Consoles are simply better for games than PCs. They're faster, don't crash as often, a lot cheaper, and best of all you don't have to make excuses about why you don't play online (because you'd get slaughtered by those people who wander round picking on new players).

There are Xbox hacks to let you surf the net and put MP3 on it and use the DVD player without remote but be careful if you are using the Xbox live microsoft will freeze your account and send you a dirty email. I have a mouse and keyboard attached to mine. www.techtv.com has some of the hacks.

Actually I prefer the pc games to the console any time of the day!!! PC definitely has more popularity, and you can use emulators too ;)
The major difference and advantage I see over comsoles is that you can edit options or files individually, if you like some music or something and moddable games are much more fun than the regular ones!!!

I love my X-Box for several reasons;
1. It's so versitile, I mean the thing can load on custom soundtracks, it has a karaoke and lyric stripping option coming out later this year, it plays DVD"s and games, plus the internet option.
2. The Game selection, granted not as vast at PS, the games I find are far more entertaining than Gamecube or PS, granted alot of the games are the same as PS.
3. I find the controller (the s model) superior to the playstation one. This could be because I used to have a Genesis and am used to the large controllers (I find PS controllers to small).
The thing has never crashed on me, like people say it would as it is the common complaint. I've owned if for 1 1/2 years, no problems.
The majority of people who hate X-box, just hate it because it's Microsoft. I have nothing against Microsoft, I have something against Bill Gates, but whatever works.

Plus it has better games, like Knight of the old republic and Morrowind. It also is comming out with 100 x-box live games this year and a few MMORPG's.

I got both, some games are best on PC and some on XBox.
XBox has the better fighting and driving games, while PC is better for 1st person type stuff, the mouse makes a lot of difference.
