I would have to say ninja gaiden overall. I didn't really like shinobi.

Um, new one's I'd say Ninja Gaiden. It was done better; no technicals errors.
Older games? I kind of like Shinobi better. A little harder than Ninja Gaiden but looked better and, to me, the story seemed better. With the 3 NES games I kept on thinking where does Ryu find these people? Liked the first NG storyline better than the rest. The Revenge of Shinobi game is one of my fav but I liked them all.

dude shinobi isn't even in the same class as ninja gaiden. don't choose a game on what console it's on, choose it on how good it actually is.

ninja gaiden owns shinobi, everything about the game is better. i rented shinobi on my blockbuster game pass, and returned it after two days to get something that was actually engaging.

definitely Ninja gaiden. the game was the king back in the day and still is now.
