Yep this was confusing for me too.

I've managed to get fairly far into it, but there's a certain part that won't work right on my computer for some reason.
My friend tells me that it is possible to escape the room, though.
You just have to keep looking around in different places for items. I think they appear in a linear order, and a spot that used to be empty can have an item in it later on, after you've collected other things before it. Also, make sure you examine all of the items you find!

I'm still trying to beat it, but I still can't get past the part after the projection thing....for some reason when I click on that little spot nothing happens

Naw, they're all there from the start, and in only one place. Once you beat it once it's real easy. Finding the battery was the hardest for me.

It is hard when you first do it but after when you've completed it, everything is easy coz you know where it all is!!!

There's another game like this on www.fhm.co.uk, go to the top 100 games and I think it's called Motas or something like that. It's longer than Crimson Room and just as weird!

Beat it, it took a lot longer then I though it would. I was expecting it to last about 5 minutes.
