Salutations.

I have had a little problem lately, related to my trainning....

I practice Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, and I devote all of my free time to trainning. However, sometimes I get a bit lost on what to focus on... I want to strike a balance between strength, skill, speed, agility, reaction time and pain/stamina resistance. But what sort of trainning can accomplish that?

In what relates to strength and technique, I`ve made huge progress in little time. I sometimes practice to the point where my arms and legs do not respond from fatigue and overuse, sometimes it takes 10 to 20 minutes before I can get up and walk.

But yet my speed doesn`t seem to pick up!
And neither my reaction time.

What do you suggest for speed, reaction and agility trainning?
Flexibility also needed...
Any tips appreciated.
Thanks.

You might want to build your 'twitch' muscles to increase reaction time and recuperation time, for agility stretches are a must, as they make you alot more flexable (and also increse reaction time)

There some great articles about everything you mentioned in the health parts of the forum.

You may also be overtraining. Take a few days off or even a week and you'll come back far stronger.

Yeah, the rest is what builds muscle. You can workout all you want, but if you don't give your body time to rest it won't matter. Don't use ALL your free time for training :D
