i really hope that you guys who posted that there was a FF7-2 game coming out on my previous materia thread were right. The point of this thread is to find out as much as i can about it as soon as possible!

Honestly, the story's over! Why would they make a sequel to FF7. Plot done. Ended. No more.
We wanted more Sephy, though. So they gave us Kingdom Hearts to quell the fanboy rush. But, we're still not happy. So, yeah, now we get a movie, and we pray that it's not Lance Bass as Sephiroth's voice this time...

I think you will find that Square where going to remake final fantasy 7 for the PS2, and why not it is afterall the BEST FF game ever, sadly the plans fell through after that HORRIBLE FF movie.

Oh well perhaps FF7 remake will make it to the shelves one day, dont worry i'll be there to buy it. until then may i suggest you amuse yourself with FFX2?

Ehg... not sure FFX-2 can be considered a serious sequel. The story and character personalities didn't flow, just their image.

I heard many years ago that remakes of FFVII, FFVIII, and FFIX were planned for the PS2. However, I also heard they were shelved... maybe even read an official announcement to that effect, but it's been so long I don't remember.
