i am debating on whether to see this movie... first it was FREDDY V.S. JASON. which is my new favorite movie and i bought it the very first day it came out on dvd. i am wondering if this movie will based on the plot outline like freddy v.s. jason. i remember seeing freddy v.s. jason the 2nd day it came out in theaters the day after i passed my white to yellow belt test HA! ok anyways.. im sure it will be a great movie if you are a big predator cuz i only saw freddy v.s. jason cuz i am a huge jason voorhees fan and i am a fan of robert englund. but a main reason too is because i have a HUGE MAJOR stinkin' crush on john ritter's son JASON! who plays will.

Alien Vs. Predator will probably be based on the story from the game(whatever that is). Im going to go see it though, Im sure it will be good...I hope anyway.

I'll watch anything featuring the Predator, but I intend to sue the director if the predator loses to the aliens!

This movie has great potential. I hope they are able to find a nice middle ground between dark horror of Aliens with the more action oriented Predators. The fights scenes should be amazing.

For my vote on who should win, I would hope the Aliens. I was always an Aliens fan. I would relate Aliens vs. Predators to a good game of Zerg vs. Protoss playing Starcraft. The Aliens will certainly have numbers and from the plot synopsis, from the link provide by Cougar, the enviroment should be Alien friendly. I mean by that many or corners and dark places to hid. If it was in a forest though, the Predators have an upperhand due to technology.

Technically the preds should win, given that they have a habit of taking on aliens armed with only their sticks as a simple hunt. Plus there's their resistance to the acid blood, which can't hurt.

Of course, as a drawback their shielding doesn't hide them from the aliens.

They basing it on the general comic storyline that Aliens are now being bred so that Predators can use for hunting both for fun and as a Ritual into Adulthood. Unfortunatly humans get in the way and a bunch of stuff happens, but usually, Predator fight Alien, Predator injured by Aliens, Human save Predator, Predator follows code of honour help Human, Human and Predator fight Alien, Human survives, Predator kills itself to save Human...but theres always an egg left. fade to black - possible and most likely a squel will follow.

Recently read a Predator vs Alien vs Terminator. now that was hilarious.

I thought it was going to be like the 2 games... where Predator wants to kill EVERYONE, Aliens want their territory, and Humans are just there as food.

...but for the record, freddy vs. jason was a flaming piece of crap. ridiculous plot, based on a crossover that doesn't come close to being feasible. although, it was pretty funny...not as funny as texas chainsaw massacre, of course. but now i'm getting out of the franchise a vs. franchise b genre.

Ive heard the film is set on earth in the not too distant future BEFORE the first alien movie! (Kind of a prequel)

Lance Henrickson (sp?) (Bishop-android guy from Alien 2+3)
is playing the human business founder of the big coporation and creator of the Bishop androids that wishes to use the Alien as a weapon in the first three alien films.

His (Lance's) research team finds an ancient spacecraft/city/area under the ice in Alaska or somewhere and its full of alien eggs, the humans defrost everything and the predators somehow get involved, leading to Lance Henricson and that woman from the Resident Evil films (who plays a marine) running around in dirty vests with guns trying to survive in a big intergalactic grudge match...

Check out the trophy room on board the Predators ship in the second Predator movie and you will see an Alien skull on the wall! So Fox has previously hinted at this...

In my opinion I this this will make a good "Booze, friends and Popcorn" movie.

I wish they had based it on the early 1990's Darkhorse comicbook series though, oh well cant have everything can you... :( just look at that peice of crap Alien ressurection...

UPDATE:
Ive heard now that its actually set inside a giant piramid (full of fossilised alien and humans) that is found under the ice, and the predators "beam-in" in order to hunt aliens. WOW!

...gets popcorn ready and bib, takes out brain, smiles... :cool:

On a side note. Yeah there is a Queen Alien skull in the Pred ship in Pred 2. But did you know that there is also a Pulse Rifle (outa Aliens) in one of the Terminator films. SHows up when you see the war against the machines in one of the earlier films. AvP looks great though. Dont think it has anything to do with the games...hope not as I have completed both and played online a fair bit.
All I will say is that if the Preds act like some of the guys online Im goin to kill someone.....*mumbles* soddin pistol spamming exploiting pred freaks

Wonder if there is goin to be a pred bug showin up
