I rather enjoyed this movie, mostly due to the dance scenes. Most reviews I have read were rather bad. Just wanted to see what some of you people thought. If you have seen it, what was your favorite dance move, pattern, etc.? Mine would have to be when they used that one guy like a puppet.

I didn't see the movie, but my girlfriend loved it so much she went to see it twice, so I guess it was okay. I trust her movie taste:love:

That is a horrible movies..... I'm no professional breaker, but I have buddies who break quiet often. First of all bad ass attitude is not what what break dancing is about, we don't show up to one another, but try to have a good time together. This movie is have some of the worst dialog.... "Uh I got 8 messages on my cell phone"... beside it had a bad story to begin with. Is just basically about 2 jerk, selling drug to get what they wanted... Then one of them gets mug to get a glimps of reality, and ended up blaming everything on his friend. I mean come on... those are like the lamest reason to start fighting with your friends. Anyway thats beside the point, this is suppose to be a breaker movie, but instead they used almost no breaking move but band boy dancing. Some of the best stuff they done at the end were all side way, with lousey forms. I don't ever remember the two main character did anything cool, oh thats why they can't. ;)

I have to disagree. When I used to break with a crew over here on the west coast we would talk mad sh/t and berrate our opponents. Sometimes fights would break out.
But I doubt it was to the degree the movie portrayed.
I want to see this movie just because of the nostalgia for my breaking years. I can't get anyone to go with me though because it's a horrible movie. Even the girl I'm seeing right now won't go with me and I even offered to pay for her ticket.
Anyway, any ladies out there in the sac area need a date saturday night for this movie? Hmm, sometimes the girl I'm seeing reads this board so I'm just kidding...(feel free to private message me though)

Haha. Well I suppose if you wanna break that way. There are good martial artist and bad moral one, and the same goes for break dancing. I'm just shocked they decide to empahsis on that side of portrait. I for one do it for fun and meeting people. Cursing and fighting over a dance.... Come on.

well the break dancing was okay but the story is kinda what turned me away, its ok, just like barber shop its an okay movie, that and barbershop 2 were some of the most average movies i have ever seen andi like all movies. eventually, after the movie i had more fun watching the break dancers outside and that was free

Beh. I enjoyed the movie, but only to a certain degree. What was good was the flexability and the style of the breakers (Though I've only seldomly seen break dancing.) The bad was the moral of the whole thing, because like Andy said, fighting over dancing? Right. Anyways, basically, only a one-time movie. If that.

yeah, it is like something out of a musical. A bunch of people dancing and squaring off, then an all out brawl. But to each his own. I don't do that anymore. Anyway, it was never anything serious, just a bunch of kids scrappin.
