Hey do anyone of you know where i can get information on how to run or hold a martial arts tournament. Eithere on the net or somewhere else.

Most local area tournaments are arranged between instructors here. I'll see if I can find some info on organizing other types. Do you want Open tournaments (any art) or TKD specific?

A lot of reasons. A lot of family and friends have died this past year, Father with cancer, Tryin to keep my web design company above water, and this is my third time tryin to open my Tae Kwon Do school.

the only thing I found is in a out of stock (but check your library you never know) kung fu magazine http://store.martialartsmart.net/kf200120.html

All I can do is offer advice. Attending other schools tournaments is pretty key first it gets the political machinery working (you attend our's I will attend your's kind of thing, but keep note of the ones that said they would and later don't) Second it lets you know and see things you like and dislike (it's easier in this case if you are not personally involved in the tournament, so you know exactly how much hassle it is to get your whole school registered and the organization of each event, in other words put yourself in the parents shoes)

Anyways good luck and I hope you have a great tournament wish you were closer and I would go...
