i feel this mainly in my hamstrings any tips on making my glutes do more of the work? My glutes are sore after doing them but so are my hamstrings.
I tried bringing my feet closer and tensing my core, but it feels like my hamstrings have to contract. Would a mini band around the knee be a good thing to add?

Squeeze the glutes and try and push your heels trough the ground when your at lockout.

It uses the hammys a lot so your always going to have hamstring recruitment

I tried doing them yesterday pushing my heels down and away from myself, this activated my quads more. Previously I have been pulling my heels down and towards myself. From what I have read its better to feel the quads contracing than the hamstrings,

So should I do them pushing my heels away to get more quad recruitment, while primarily focusing on the glutes?
